About Fowey (pronounced foy to rhyme with boy) Fowey is an unspoilt town steeped in history yet still a working commercial and sailing port on the south Cornish coast, located between Looe and Mevagissey, surrounded by beautiful countryside and fantastic beaches. Fowey town centre has an excellent mix of independent shops and superb pubs and restaurants, with something to suit all tastes and budgets. It is home to the much celebrated annual Du Maurier festival (8th to 17th May) and the hugely popular regatta week, this year from 19th to 25th August. A few miles away is the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan– essential visits when staying in the area. Want more information about Fowey? see www.fowey.co.uk.
